Boarding Services at Hunt Ridge Stables

At Hunt Ridge, we offer a variety of different Boarding services, tailored to fit you horses specific needs.  Hunt Ridge is situated on the historic Blue Ridge Farm  in Upperville Virginia, and offers 550 acres of beautiful rolling pastures with run in sheds, several barns/paddocks and stallion barns/paddocks.

 

Retirement Boarding (Basic)

Beautiful rolling pasture with large run in sheds. Boarding includes:

  • Winter Hay

  • Farrier trims

  • Worming

  • Spring Shots

  • Twice daily check

Call us for for more detail and to discuss your horses individual needs. We can tailor a package to make sure your horse receives the care he/she requires in his/her retirement.

Retired Stallion Boarding

  • Individual barn/run in shed

  • Attached grass paddock 

  • Stallion appropriate fencing

Hunt Ridge/Blue Ridge was the retirement home of Lord Avie, the oldest living Eclipse Winner, who sadly passed away at the age of 34 in December 2012

Lay ups

Lay up care with a variety of options.

  • Stall rest

  • Extra Large Stall Rest (20 x 20)

  • Small paddock turnout

  • Hand walking

  • Daily bandage changing

  • IM and IV injections

Standard Lay up board at $25 per day
